Privacy policy of the Bank Guarantee Fund’s conference Website

This privacy policy is addressed to the users of the www.conference2024.bfg.pl website (the “Conference Website”), created for the purposes of the Conference organized by the Bank Guarantee Fund (“BFG”) under the name “Crisis Management in the Financial System – stairway to heaven or highway to hell?” (the “Conference”).

The Conference Website contains information about the Conference and allows you to apply for participation in the Conference via this website through the registration form.

The Privacy Policy describes the rules for collecting and using the data of the users of the Conference Website, which are collected through cookies and similar technologies, as well as information on the processing of personal data collected in connection with participation in the Conference via the registration form.

This Privacy Policy applies whenever you use the Conference Website. If you do not agree with it, please leave the Conference Website. In accordance with Article 173 of the Law of 16 July 2004 Telecommunications Law (Journal of Laws of 2004, No. 171, item 1800, as amended) we would like to inform you that cookies are used when using the Conference Website.

The administrator of personal data collected in connection with participation in the Conference is the Bank Guarantee Fund with its registered office in Warsaw, address: 4 Ks. Ignacego Jana Skorupki Street, 02-546 Warsaw.

Personal data collected through the registration form for the Conference and personal data specified in the Conference Regulations are collected in order to perform the agreement of participation in the Conference on the legal basis:

  1. Article 6(1)(b) of the GDPR – processing is necessary for the performance of a contract to which the data subject is a party or to take steps at the request of the data subject prior to entering into a contract in order to:
    • implementation of the Conference in accordance with the rules described in the Regulations of the Conference and actions taken in connection with its organization, including its proper conduct; 
    • recording and publishing the image by posting reports from the Conference on websites and official profiles in social media, as well as in press publications and multimedia materials in accordance with the Conference Regulations;
  2. Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR – processing is necessary for the purposes of the legitimate interests pursued by the controller or by a third party in order to establish, pursue or defend against claims;
  3. Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR – in the case of consent to further processing of personal data, in order to enable future contact, including receiving information about conferences and events organized by the Organizer. You have the right to withdraw your consent to the processing of your personal data at any time – which does not affect the lawfulness of the processing carried out before its withdrawal.
  1. The recipients of personal data will be only entities authorized to obtain personal data on the basis of legal provisions and entities that are subcontractors of the administrator on the basis of an entrustment agreement.
  2. Personal data will not be transferred to international organizations or third countries.

Personal data will be stored by the Organizer for the period necessary to achieve the purposes of processing referred to above, unless the applicable law imposes an obligation on the Organizer to store them longer – in particular for archiving purposes in the public interest. 

BFG uses cookies to:

  1. adapt the content of the Conference Website to the user’s preferences and optimize the use of the Conference Website,
  2. creating anonymous, aggregated statistics that help to understand how the user uses the Conference Website and, as a result, improve its structure and content.

We collect data about users’ activity on the Conference Website, along with information about the IP address of the browser used by the user.

Cookies do not allow for personal identification of the user. As part of visiting the Conference Website, cookies do not collect data that identifies the user, such as name, surname, e-mail address, or, for example, revealing racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious or philosophical beliefs.

The personal data subject shall have the right to:

1.  request from the Organiser, as the administrator of personal data, access to their personal data, rectification, deletion or restriction of processing;

2. object to the processing of data;

3. data portability.

These rights may be exercised by submitting an appropriate request (directly or by mail, including by e-mail) to the Organiser. In case of justified doubts, the Organiser may ask for additional information necessary to confirm the identity of the person submitting the application. 

4. Each person to whom the processed personal data relates has the right to lodge a complaint with the President of the Personal Data Protection Office if he or she considers that the processing of personal data violates the provisions of the GDPR.

We use technological and organizational measures to secure your personal data. For e.g., SSL (Secure Socket Layer) certificates will be used. Your data is also collected and stored on a secured server.

We are not responsible for the privacy policy of the owners of websites other than conference2024.bfg.pl to which links are provided on the Conference Website. We ask you to read the privacy statements posted on the partner websites.

Changes in the Privacy Policy of the Conference Website may be affected by the development of technology or changes in generally applicable laws, including those relating to the protection of personal data.

Remark:
